Welcome to the Spinal Bleeds Trust
Spinal bleeds in children are rare, but the effects are devasting. William suffered a bleed in the spinal cord in his neck seven years ago, when he was just 8 years old. Overnight he went from a perfectly fit and healthy boy, to being paralysed from the chest downwards - unable to walk and with no bladder or bowel control.
William has remained cheerful and optimistic throughout his set-backs, but will need equipment, help and support throughout his life. Over his life William will need around £1.5m to provide the care that he needs. There are no charities that help sufferers like William as the condition is so rare.
The Spinal Bleeds Trust has been set-up to help William and others like him to live the best life they can. With your help, we can make a genuine difference. |
